Great place with a huge variety of hot dogs. Friendly and very fast service, the hot dog buns and root beer slush were amazing!! Definitely recommend, we'll be going often.

Very nice person greeted me was really nice attitude food was great enjoyed the toasted buns and spicy sauce the onion rings was good and crisp not saturated and soggy if you haven't ate there go try it. Great people with really good food !!!!

Hands down thee best! I don't use that word often. The best place where you can get a fresh sandwich or chili dog or whatever and wash it down with a delicious root beer or root beer float. A must try if never had and if you hax it why you haven't had it recently? Real customer

I love this place. They have a great variety of hot dogs, the hot dog sauce is fantastic, the service is great. It is a little crowded inside and a little on the pricier side for what you get, but this is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Parkersburg.

I’ve been a fairly regular face at the Root Beer Shack since they opened more than 5 years ago. I’m a hotdog fanatic and I have yet to find a restaurant with better hotdogs. They toast their buns, their sauce is homemade (and fantastic) and the prices are reasonable. On top of that—the staff is so incredibly friendly. I love the Root Beer Shack!

Great food and awesome slushy root beer just like A&W used to have. A bit noisy but totally worth it. Also have a drive thru.

I'd love to give 5 stars bc your food is great but what are your new hours? Or do y'all normally close whenever? I've tried coming a few times but you've been closed early each time. Example, today... It's just now turning 4 but you've been closed for at least the past half hour

A nice little establishment serving hot dogs, made pretty much any easy you can dream up. They have fries. mushrooms and other sides to go with the hot dogs, and root beer to wash it down. They lost one star due to value compared to price. The product, and portions, are a bit small when you factor in the cost. I will visit again.

We had root beer floats and a deep fried Snicker bar. Very tasty!

First time coming here and I was impressed! Fast and friendly service! Never be afraid to try a peanut butter hot dog (aka Gary dog). It blew my taste buds. Will definitely be back

Philly Hotdogs are the bomb. Everything there is really. Not cheap. But excellent and quality produce.

Eat here!!! Yummy menu, great for hot dog lovers especially. Mac n cheese wedges are yummy! German dog with onion rings was delicious. Burger with grilled cheese sandwiches as buns was enjoyed by my son. Fried milky way and ice cream...root beer floats, all delicious! Friendly service, great prices, clean restaurant.

Fantastic! Their Root Beers were the perfect thing. Thick slushy cold goodness and a wonderful taste. We enjoyed hotdogs and hamburgers all of which were delicious and well prepared. Fries were excellent too.The service was great. Worth a visit, I already want more of that delicious root beer.
